How To Use TravelMuse

Steps to creating a Trip

1. Get the Bookmarker

Easily add the TravelMuse Bookmarker to your bookmark bar.
Go to any Web site and save pages, photos or snippets of text to your Research Folder or Trip.

2. Create a Trip

To get started, simply name your Trip.
If you know which destination(s) you plan to visit, add them and we can help by recommending relevant information.
Explore destinations, themes and activities on TravelMuse to get ideas. Save any hotel, attraction, restaurant, shop, article and guide to your own Trip. You can also check out Trips created by other members or try the Inspiration Finder.

3. Organize and Schedule

View all the items saved to your Trip in a list, on a map or in a schedule.
Use the map to show nearby attractions or search for other things to do. Save anything of interest to your Trip.
Schedule saved items to specific days by clicking on the icon to open a mini calendar and create your day-by-day itinerary. Move items and days around by dragging and dropping.

4. Share and Collaborate

You can invite friends to join and help plan your Trip in several ways: click on the “Edit Trip” link next to the name of your Trip, click on the “Invite others” link under the name of your Trip or go to “My TravelMuse.” Either type in your friends e-mail address or invite them through Facebook.
As a collaborator they can add comments to items you have added to the Trip and save additional items. We’ll send automatic notifications to you when co-travelers add items or modify a Trip.
From the Items tab, you can also “Ask Friends” on Facebook for advice on your Trip or on specific items you have saved (e.g. a hotel you are thinking of staying at). We’ll automatically import comments from Facebook back into your Trip on TravelMuse.
Lastly, share a public view of your Trip on your Facebook wall, Twitter feed or by e-mail.

5. Print a Custom Guide

Click “Print Guide” to create your free personalized guide (in PDF format) based on the Trip you just created. It contains your schedule and all your saved items. Either download it to your computer or print it out. You can then disconnect from the internet and go!
