Ice Skating

Who hasn’t felt the exhilarating thrill of gliding across smooth ice? Ice skating is an activity that welcomes all ability levels—and is impossible to dislike. Before ice skating became a popular recreational activity, it was a means of transportation; for inhabitants of icy northern climes, skating over ice fields required far less energy than walking over them.

Ice skating has since evolved into a beloved pastime and the basis for several professional sports such as ice hockey, figure skating and speed skating. Whether you skate on an indoor rink or play hockey on a frozen pond, ice skating is super cool for kids. You can find great indoor and outdoor ice rinks in Toronto (really, anywhere in Canada), Boston, Lake Tahoe, New York and London.
