Donna M. Airoldi was the founding editorial director for TravelMuse until July 2009, and is currently a freelance writer. She recently launched the travel blog Prepare for Crosscheck.
Prior to joining TravelMuse, Airoldi was the executive editor/travel editor for Incentive magazine; her work has also appeared in Travel+Leisure, Contra Costa Times, Metro New York and Metro Boston newspapers, MeetingNews, Successful Meetings and Sales & Marketing Management, as well as on TurningPointTV.com.

Her favorite places include Nepal, Spain, Nicaragua and French Polynesia, as well as New York, Taos and Chicago, stateside. Her most recent trips were to Argentina, Beijing and Israel. She longs to go on sabbatical in India. Favorite activities include a rugged hike followed by a smooth, single malt scotch. She calls Brooklyn, N.Y., home.
