Innsbruck, Austria, is a popular skiing destination in heart of the Austrian Alps, so lauded for its winter sports that it’s hosted the Winter Olympic Games twice. Walk along Herzog Friedrich Strasse, the three-block pedestrian drag that takes you through Old Town Innsbruck, featuring Baroque and Gothic architecture, such as the famous Golden Roof—an extravagant balcony with a 2,657 gilded-tile roof. Also check out the Stadtturm city tower where you can climb 148 steps to get a great view of the city.
