Grand Bahama is the fourth largest island in the Bahamas chain; its capital is Freeport. Grand Bahama’s clean, white beaches rival other Bahamian islands like the more popular, Nassau, but outside the resort centers are many quiet, tranquil hideaways and deserted beaches. Freeport offers a lively nightlife and resort experience including one casino. There are four 18-hole championship golf courses on the island. Grand Bahama is also home to one of the world’s oldest underwater cave systems at the Lucayan National Park.
