Moldova is a country in eastern Europe between Romania (to the west) and Ukraine (to the north). Popular cities include Balti, Tiraspol and Chisinau—the capital of Moldova.

Many national administrative establishments and cultural centers such as Organ Hall and the National Theatre “Mihai Eminescu” are nestled along Stefan cel Mare Boulevard, a major street in downtown Chisinau, which is located on the Byk River. In between the theaters, museums and monuments are old preserved houses, some dating back to the early 19th century. On national holidays, the city organizes cultural performances and parades in the Piata Marii Adunari Nationale town square.

Moldova also has popular natural sights including the Nistru River, along which you can see the Saharna, a natural reservation which houses Trinity Monastery, Grimidon Rock, and the Geto-Dacians fortress. There are also several nearby waterfalls hidden in the thick Moldova forests, called “Codru.” Some locals favorite past time activities for locals include going to Nistru Beach as well as wine tasting at the local wineries spread throughout Moldova’s major cities.
