Manzanillo, Mexico sits on the Pacific Ocean in the state of Colima. Home to Mexico’s busiest port, Manzanillo is both a beach resort and ideal sailfish fishing destination.
Manzanillo got its name from the manzanillo trees used to build ships in the 19th century. Recently the city’s harbor has deepened and opened to the world’s major shipping lines, welcoming ships of more than 30,000 tons.
Go deep-sea fishing or participate in Manzanillo’s yearly sailfish fishing tournament; see a different side of the city on an off-road adventure; or bring out the conservationist in you with a hiking or walking tour.
