Acapulco de Juárez

Much of the experience of Acapulco, Mexico revolves around water. The city serves as a port of call for ships and cruises along the West Coast and to Panama, and its tropical climate attracts tourists year-round.

When the Spanish arrived in Acapulco, they immediately used this bay city as a point from which to explore the rest of the Pacific. Acapulco developed as an important destination for tourists as resorts sprang up in the 20th century.
