Located in northeastern Mexico, Monterrey of often referred to as the “Lady of the North.” It has great importance to the country as a center for business and industry, but its mountains, canyons and desert lure many travelers as well.
Some of Mexico’s best hiking, mountain biking, caving, and rock climbing areas are located nearby. If indoor culture is more your style, visit the MARCO (contemporary art) Museum, the Museum of Mexicn History or the Monterrey Metropolitan Museum.
View the colonial architecture in Barrio Antiguo (old town), gawk at the monolithic Tower of Commerce or visit the cathedral. At the end of your day, relax in the beautiful Gran Plaza, a six-block long pedestrian park with benches, fountains, shade trees and bandstands.
