Huntington Beach Huntington State Beach is home to more than just a gorgeous beach. The Orange County Museum of Art, the International Surfing Museum and the Huntington Beach Beer Company are also here. Be sure to enjoy a meal at Orange County's oldest restaurant, The Arches.

Newport Beach Visit Newport Pier for a relaxing view of Catalina. Have lunch at Pescadou Bistro. Nearby is the Newport Landing Boardwalk, where you can embark on a whale watching trip or stop into the Newport Harbor Nautical Museum.

Balboa Island Have lunch at Habana, then explore the wilderness at the Upper Newport Bay Ecological Reserve & Preserve. Just a short ferry ride away is Balboa Island, which has beaches filled with sunbathers, and the Balboa Fun Zone. Crystal Cove State Park Hike the trails at Crystal Cove State Park, then have lunch at the Aegean Cafe. Be sure to browse Laguna's many art collections, which can be found at places like the Laguna Art Museum, the Art Institute of Southern California - Ettinger & Reynolds Galleries and the Fingerhut Gallery.

Mission San Juan Capistrano Explore the Mission San Juan Capistrano, then enjoy lunch at Cafe Mozart or the Coach House. Ronald Caspers Wilderness Park offers many activities for youngsters, making this a perfect family destination. San Clemente Village is not far from here. Browse the quaint shops and cafes.
