Naples lies on the southwestern tip of Florida along the Gulf of Mexico, part of the state’s Paradise Coast: a series of beach communities that border more than 2,000 square miles of subtropical wilderness—the Everglades. Naples’ white sand beaches are legendary, as are the town’s more than 80 championship golf courses. Naples is also home to several wildlife refuges and preserves, including Florida Panther Wildlife Refuge, Ten Thousand Islands National Wildlife Refuge, and Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, which features a winding sidewalk through the swamp.
