Considered the largest subtropical wilderness in the United States, Everglades National Park spans 1.5 million acres across the entire southwestern tip of Florida. The highest point in the park is 20 feet above sea level—the top of a Native American shell mound.

A variety of land and water trails allow visitors to see the diverse habitats and wildlife in the Everglades—from the river of grass to the Ten Thousand Islands. Park waters provide plenty of places for fishing as well as viewing local wilflife, including alligators and manatees.
