Is Georgia on your mind? The southernmost of the original 13 colonies will delight any visitor with its wide array of natural and cultural attractions. On the state’s eastern edge, Georgia’s Sea Islands are a great place for a summer, seaside escape. Or visit Springer Mountain and hike the first 75 miles of the southern part of the Appalachian Trail. Other popular outdoor activities include rock climbing, whitewater rafting and fishing.

Atlanta, the state’s largest city and capital, is filled with activities and sights from the Georgia Aquarium (the world’s largest aquarium), Zoo Atlanta, Olympic Park and more. World of Coca-Cola features everything you will ever want to know about the native Atlanta beverage. For some real southern hospitality, head to Savannah where you will find the house from Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. Throughout the state you can find restored plantations that will transport you back to the days of antebellum southern belles. Don’t forget to take a bite of one of the state’s famous Georgia peaches.
