Danvers is one of the oldest settlements in Essex County, in northeastern Massachusetts. This old New England town was known as Salem Village in the 1600s, and is where the hysteria that led to the 1692 Salem Witch Trials originated. Today, Danvers is still dominated by its preserved historical sites, late 17th century homes and Revolutionary War cemeteries.
