The location, the service, the atmosphere, the breakfast, and especially the room itself: everything about this hotel was a class act. Apparently the owner...

My husband and I stayed here in August 2012 for vacation. The hotel is in a great location, right in Old Montreal, which (I think) is the best part of...

This charming hotel is well located near the Place d'Arms on a quiet side street. You get the benefit of being near most everything in Veiux Montreal without the noise. The clean rooms are very large with comfortable beds and tall ceilings. The staff is friendly, but a little overworked. One evening, the bartender/bell hop/valet had been away from the bar for quite some time while some thirsty patrons were waiting at the small bar. Finally, another staffer came to pour drinks, but assured us that his bartending skills did not go beyond beer and wine. We were happy to oblige, but it would be nice to have more consistent service at happy hour. This small issue is the only problem we had during our stay.

The XIX is as good as it gets for the price. Excellent staff and accommodations. Within walking distance of two Metro stations and buses were nearby also. Opt for the parking and breakfast plan if you drive. This hotel is great if you want to be near the old section. Nothing but good things to say about our stay. We would go back anytime.

the location was ideal for starting my vacation sightseeing. i'm glad i paid the extra for the continental breakfast and free parking though it would have been nice to have a warm food option. the hotel's edifice was beautiful, the room itself, with at least 10 ft. ceilings and windows was also quite lovely. the bed was inviting but i did wake up stiff one morning. staff was pleasant and willing to indulge my suboptimal french (almost everyone spoke flawless english though). in montreal this is a 4-star hotel (out of possible 5, i think).

Hotel staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. The location was excellent, the breakfast was great, the room was beautiful and making the booking through travel website was painless.
