Excellent small hotel in the very heart of the Latin Quarter - perfect location for anyone who wants to be close to the action in Paris. Short walks to Notre Dame, Musee Dorsay, etc. Staff were very friendly and helpful and conversed with us in French or English on our choice. Room was small - but we've seen smaller in Paris and in our experience about the norm for the city without going to the George V. We packed so we only needed the small suitcases in our room and left the large suitcases at reception. Room was clean with adequate closet space and breakfast was usual buffet standard fare - OK but not exceptional. Service however, was very good. We would stay again for the location and an excellent restaurant just around the corner - I think the name was Le vin et le terroir.

This is a little jewel, quiet, with excellent service, nice breakfast, nice architecture, comfortable rooms (tho singles can be small). It is in one of the very best locations in Paris, within 10 minutes walk of Notre Dame, the Seine, and 15 minutes at most to the Louvre. For museum goers a fine headquarters. Do not expect fitness centers. Walking in Paris is quite enough exercise! Not the best place for children, but for adults who want to see one of the older quarters of Paris, this is an excellent choice. Breakfast included with price.

The Left Bank hotel's location is superb, just steps from the Odeon Metro on the eastern end of St. Germain. The staff is helpful, especially if you speak French (and Americans should not hesitate to try.) My room was pleasant, although it had only a tiny hanging closet; everything else was cupboards. Next time I would ask for a higher floor away from the street, because it can be noisy on weekends. Breakfast is served downstairs and can be brought to your room. There is wi-fi available, but it's pricey; a better option is to go to a wi-fi hot spot close by (there's a Web cafe across the street and a Starbuck's by the Metro.) Many good places to eat in the neighborhood, wonderful shopping, and in all a smart choice for less than you'll pay in the same area.

We feel very lucky that we found this place I loved the way the rooms were decorated and the beds and pillows were so comfortable. The windows opened, there was a small mini-bar with drinks, computers with Internet access in the lobby, room service, breakfast buffet, great nieghborhood, helpful staff. They let us check in at 9:30 AM when we arrived, even though check-in isn't until 2 PM.
