The hotel itself was great with great service from all of its staff. However, we were disappointed with serveral items. First, the ridiculous amount for a buffet at its restaurant. This hotel has about 6 restaurants, but only one was open at a time. Second, although the hotel provides a refrigerator, evidently no outside food or drink is allowed. We were stopped by hotel staff for bringing in some fruit and soft drinks into the building. It wasn't until we threatened to leave and move to another hotel, that an exception was made. You would think that at a 5 star resort, there would be items that are complimentry, but everything had a price, although you had to ask to find out how much something would cost. For example, I was charged a fee for Internet usage in my room. I have never stayed at a hotel of this caliber that does not offer free Internet access.

Enchanting facility with lovely grounds. Spa is great, plenty offered to stay busy on site, off site activity a bit costly due to location. Great atmosphere for relaxing while having option to be active at the gym or in the pools

The Fairmont Princess in Acapulco has ridiculously high food prices that do not match the quality of their food as compared to other hotel of equal quality. And their restaurant service is of lower quality compared to other hotels of similar standing. It was a serious disappointment at our last stay.

The Fairmont is in a good location, but is away from the downtown action. The service was excellent, but some of the (less expensive) rooms are tired, with no high speed internet (dial up only), broken sliding door locks, old furniture. The rooms that have been updated are very nice, but more expensive. Restaurants on site were very good.

Beautiful place, the pools are big and plentyful to avoid overcrowding. The staff was very nice and extremely helpful when we realized we'd left our passports behind, they really did their best to try and get them to us. Food extremely pricy, and you're kind of stuck with it due to its location, it's not like you can just walk to the nearest restaurant. Overall loved it!

Gorgeous, HUGE property & pool areas. Unusually deep pools & no hot tub. Log on to www.Fairmont.com prior to arriving to sign up for the (free) President's Club for some additional perks. It's worth it to request a renovated room (& fridge) facing west for balcony sunset viewing. Pricey food, but wonderful.( The ceviche was the BEST!) Pick up beverages & snacks (use Zip-loc bags) at Walmart ""across the street"" (about 1 mile). Free shuttle & access to the Fairmont Pierre Marques next door.
