San Agustib Exclusive Hotel

To whom it concerns: Receive the kind regards from San Agustin Exclusive Hotel, in this way we want to show our comments with regard to the events on 07th July in the facilities of our hotel. Facing the terrible fact happened and despite all the security procedures taken, our company gave an immediate response so our hotel resolved to give $.900.00 to each guest (5 guest) for the damage caused in no more than 48 hours. There are documents signed by each guest that show the conformity of the solution adopted. With regard to Mr. Robert Chung Ching who indicated he had lost $4,000.00 in this robbery, it has had a quick response from our hotel which gave to him a check for $.2, 000.00, despite our politics published says all the valuable goods should be stored in the safety deposit box that we put at the disposal in all our rooms, about this we have documents that confirm it. For all I have already said, we want to let you know our sadness for your comment because in all time we were worried and took responsibility of this fact not only for our compromise with our guests if not also for the compromise we assume with all the visitant of our country because we sincerely wish their trip in Peru becomes in a pleasant experience for them. Sincerely, Pedro Torres T. Business Image Manager

UNSAFE- Robbed here

We stayed in the hotel San Agustin in Miraflores for a conference. During lunch someone broke the locked door of the conference and stole 5 laptops, about $4000, expensive pens, and a passport. The hotel was unhelpful and defensive. Although the theft happened within a small time frame and someone slipped the items through the back (meaning they had very good knowledge of the hotel) the hotel never admitted fault. The manager did not come until nighttime, hours after the poilce was called. The service was awful and it ruined our trip. On top of that, one of the persons that was robbed also had a book stolen from her room. Once again, the administration was rude and defensive, demanding to search her luggage. Once they realized that it, in fact, had been stolen, they never apologized. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. It gives Peru a bad image. There are many safer places one can stay in. DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL!
