This is not my 1st time to Bangkok and I wanted to stay in something other than a traditional Thai Hotel hence why I booked the Metropolitan Hotel. Very similar to it's sister Hotel in London The Metropolitan (also a fantastic Design Hotel) this is the ultimate in cool design and fantastic service, the staff are all very smartly dressed (not in Thai silk) which makes a change. The location although not on the river is perfectly situated for all markets (Limpini is a 5 min walk away) and is perfect for all sightseeing. The food in the 2 restaurants WOW they really do impress especially Glow with it's Organic menu & Cyan is such a great location over the pool area and offers unique style Mediterranean food, both of these restaurants in my opinion are the best in any Hotel in Thailand I would still recommend to eat of as many street vendor's as possible as the food is the best you can get in Thailand.I have to also comment that my room was huge and beautifully designed in a subtle Thai style but to a very modern design and the bathroom extremely cool. The Spa COMO Shambhala was amazing with their signature massage that I had was fantastic & the whole set up was great, with the pool and the gym all well located. The staff are so friendly and have all the insider tips to the New Bangkok the best places to eat & drink and party till the wee morning.I have to say that this Hotel was one of the best I have stayed in Asia & would highly recommend staying here if you get the opportunity.
