I have never stayed in a 5 star hotel before and I can now say, I wish I had the money to stay in them all the time, granted they all are as nice as Lebua. My mother and I travelled to Bangkok, Thailand for vacation and were a little apprehensive. Neither of us had been on vacation overseas before. The staff at Lebua were EXTREMELY nice and helpful. They made sure we knew where we were going and what to watch out for. They insisted on writing down the directions for cabbies in Thai so that we wouldn't get lost and always offered to call us taxis (we usually just hailed one ourselves). Always greeted with a huge smile and a wai, we felt welcomed and valued. I was lucky enough to be at Lebua for my birthday and was extremely surprised when room service brought me a slice of the most exquisite chocolate mousse cake. It was more than a cake though, it was a piece of art. It looked like a wrapped present, with lotus petals strewn on the plate, candles with a little package of matches and a note signed by the hotel manager. All this because my mother wanted to embarass me by telling everyone she saw that day that it was my birthday. The room itself was outrageoulsy clean and spacious and the balcony overlooked the city and river. Air-con worked perfect (thank God!) and the mini-bar was always stocked. Tub in the bathroom was designed for soaking and the living room area was quiet and comfortable. I can't say enough about this fantastic hotel. If I ever go back to Bangkok, I will be booking at Lebua.

I truly experience what's called "Land of Smiles" by staying at Lebua. The staff were polite and each of them greet us wherever we go. The hotel is not near any skytrain station, we tried walking to the station and it took 20mins under the hot sun. Later to realise there's shutter bus service provided at the lobby. Room service provided twice a day, amazing. When we're leaving for the airport, waiting for taxi, we were given a special discount to use the BMW limo service for only 1000baht. The normal price for the service is 90USD. Do the conversion yourself.

I have just completed my stay at Lebua and cannot help but post a review, for there is so much new I saw at this place. Apart from the excellent service and gourmet cuisine (all of us know Sirocco, Mezzaluna, Skybar by now..) there was this bit of giving back to the society that was so prevalent in the organization.I witnessed one of the most fantastic events here called Emotional Tourism. Inspite of misquotes by the press, I must say this was an wonderful initiative. Few guests of the hotel, mostly bankers, hospital owners, industrialists and businessmen were flown to northern thialand to experience a poverty stricken village which they were committed to uplift. The effort was so sincere, that even snacks were not served to the high profile guests during theri stay at the village. This was followed by a rich dinner at the hotel and really served as an eye-opener to the privileged class. With this initiative, lebua has managed to set up a huge fund to help change the village forever. Also, the guests have used their experience to lay down ideas to make the village self-sufficient thus precluding direct donation. However, all through it was made clear that the guests can contribute through any channel, not necessarily the hotel. This iniative is one of a kind and touched me deeply. Hotels can offer best stay and cuisine, but to help the underprivileged so earnestly is a novel initiative that others should emulate. I am proud to be associated with lebua and will definitely return.

I visit BKK every two month and even i prefer always and everywhere to try new things the lebua makes it hard to stick to that. It is just to comfortable and the best value for money i know so far in bkk. Staff is always friendly. Due to the popular restaururants on the top they have a little problem with the lifts, it just takes to long until you get one, but as i am on holiday there is no rush. It is really hard to find something to complain or suggest an improvment here are two: Guys! Please buy new towels yours have done the job. Don`t change to much u doing great!
