the badly-arranged available parking is HORRENDOUS at this property! Due to the cliffside location, parking and walking can be precarious, dangerous, and distant. The staff was spotty in their professionalism (our promised "early" check-in caused us a wait of 5 1/2 hours, and the "early" was just 20 minutes before 4 pm) (wait staff in Point In Tyme was rude and obtuse to our requests) (housekeeping requests were handled promptly EXCEPTING the day our room never got cleaned in our absence and no one would come after our 8 pm return). The air conditioner and the toilet needed repair, but were handled quickly. Most of the decor was tolerable, but a little aged, threadbare, and dated. There were unpainted interior wall repairs, seemingly made from spackle that was never finished. There were just 3 bath towels and 1 washcloth provided for our 5-person party in our 3-bed suite. The pools were plentiful, although one had green slime and one was infested with biting red ants. The water park closes at dusk, just when the weather begins to cool off enough to use it, and the athletic facilities are similarly closed too early to be useful for those avoiding the heat. A tiny frig stacked with servi-bar items, no microwave, and no sink aside from the vanity did not make in-room dining a good option, and the remote-ish location & costly on-site dining options were not very family-friendly. The off-season value was good, as the landscaping was pretty, although walking in the breathable evening air was a bit dangerous without much landscape lighting present.

I am a Hilton Honors member and thought it would be fun to stay at the Tapatio Cliffs while on vacation in Phoenix. The property is lovely and nestled in the hills of North Phoenix. Upon arrival, the valet looked harried. The well-appointed lobby was chaotic as flip-flopped families roved in and out. We had a nice check-in and that's where the fun began. As we drove up to our hotel suite on the hill we noticed no parking anywhere. When we got to our suite, the 4 spots in front were all taken. We drove around with about 10 other cars throughout the property looking for parking, to no avail, finally finding one a 10 minute walk away. As it was July in Phoenix, that walk with our bags was not pleasent. The room was nice, the pool was good, the view were nice, but I would definitely not recommend this hotel, which is unfortunate as I love Hiltons. Unless you like fighting for parking or day hikes to your room, give this one a pass.

The rooms were OK but trying to find a parking space close to your room is virtually impossible. The parking spots that are available are scattered around the different buildings so that you end up running a maze trying to find one and then end up walking quite a distance to get to your room. They also DO NOT have room type you request from the Travelocity website, we had requested a single king suite and they gave us a double queen. When I asked about the change the next morning they said that they do not receive the specific room type from Travel website, that you need to contact them directly to make sure you get the room you are requesting.

my husband and i have stayed here before, so when we decided to book this trip there was no hesitation to stay here. the view is absolutely fabulous, the pool is relaxing, and i felt completely safe. on the weekends there were many families, but with the 5 pools, you really dont have a problem finding a quiet place to sun bathe. the only cons are you have to pay for the fitness facility, i dont think the bathtub in our suite had been cleaned in a while, and the drinks and food prices are completely outragous!! the easy fix to the food issue, scottsdale is only 15 minutes away and there are plenty of restaraunts to choose from.

We checked in late at night/early morning due to a late flight. The person at the front desk was helpful but could have given us a little better directions to our buidling/room. The room they saved for us was perfect, a corner unit overlooking the main entrance to the hotel. We loved the many pools, fitness center, and location of the property. The hills this hotel is built on could be a problem for some, but the shuttle service is always an option. We had a sunset drink/appetiser at the Different Pointe of View restaurant outdoor deck, and were mildly disappointed with our server. She did not want to bring us the full dinner menu outside, even though it states on the appetiser menu "full dinner menu available upon request". The first wine pour was very short, but we asked for a better pour and received it. The sunset view is breathtaking. All in all, for a romantic, sit by the many pools, relaxing, sun filled long week-end, I would stay at this property again without hesitation.

Loved the pools and outside courtyards. Great hiking too. I read some so so reviews before I booked, but I was glad I didn't listen.
