Guests of The Grand Hotel enjoy gateway access to Grand Canyon National Park, the entrance to the park is just one mile away, and a variety of recreational activities. The lodge, built in 1998, features classic architecture and decor with rustic timber, western ironwork, and immense log beams. A central lobby with a towering stone fireplace invites good books, lively games of checkers, and inquisitive conversations with travelers from around the world. The nearby grand piano inspires guests to play their favorite tunes and sing along. You might even enjoy a spontaneous guitar and fiddle jam session going on in the lobby. The Canyon Star Restaurant and Saloon is on-site and features Western-style decor with nightly entertainment including Native American Dancers and live music. The Canyon Star serves a wide variety of foods ranging from hearty steaks to southwestern specialties. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Hotel amenities include complimentary wireless Internet access in the lobby, an indoor pool with an adjacent spa and small fitness center, and a gift shop specializing in Native American art and jewelry. Coin operated laundry facilities are available. The property is 100% smoke-free.
I gave it 4 stars based on the overall quality of the facilities. It seemed a little run down. No gym and the jacuzzi was not hot. The pool was inside...

WORST HOTEL I'VE EVER SEEN. RESERVATION WAS SCREWED UP. FRONT DESK SAID GO PLAY FOR THE DAY AND THEY'D STRAIGHTEN OUT. DIDN'T HAPPEN. FINALLY GOT ANOTHER ROOM WITH A NICE VIEW OF THE PARKING LOT. WENT TO ON SITE DINING THEN TO BED. 9:30PM FRONT DESK CALLS TO SAY I CAN'T CHARGE DINNER TO MY ROOM SINCE I BOOKED THRU ONLINE TRAVEL SO I MUST COME DOWN NOW TO PAY! i GO TO THE DESK AND SHE SAYS SHE NEEDS MY CREDIT CARD. I TELL HER I DID THAT AT CHECK IN. SHE TAKES IT, STARES BLANKLEY AT HER MONITOR AND SAYS SHE RE-ENTERD IT-SHE DIDN'T! i GO BACK TO BED. 10PM A BANGING ON MY DOOR. THE WAITRESS FROM DINNER IS AT MY ROOM DEMANDING PAYMENT! I GO BACK TO THE DESK WHERE THE WAITRESS AND CLERK ARGUE WITH EACH OTHER. NO COMPETANCE, CONTROL OR TRAINNING HERE.

To start with, they lost my reservation, then we checked into the room and the bed had not been changed. The sheets were wrinkled and had stains on them. Had some manager come up and change them. Put on king size sheets on a queen size bed? Next day went to the indoor pool. The large rack for pool towels had only one towel.( We shared ). Needless to say, we won't be back.

Great Hotel, Just a few miles from canyon, you need a year in advance to actually stay at the canyon, this is as close as you can get without booking a year in advance. Price was good too.Beautiful hotel with nightly entertainment in lounge. Had a pet and needed some special assistance, The General Manger Darlene went above & beyond call of duty to accomodate us.Would definitely stay again and recommend to fellow travelers!Steve

We turned on all the lamps and it was still dim, we kept the a/c on just so there was some air circulating and we heard toilets flushing and doors slamming all night long. Also, the pool was green and the breakfast buffet was cold and unattended. Visitors beware, EVERYONE is out to make a buck from the tourists - from the local pizza joint to the gas station.

Great Native American dances are free - get there early for best seats. Desserts are to DIE for! Lovely warm fire welcomed us on a cold day. Room was clean and spacious, although dim. Very nice!
