This was our third stay at El Portal. This is a wonderfully designed and executed Inn with 12 unique rooms. The beds were very comfortable. The setting is hacienda style with an enclosed courtyard. There was an art exhibit during one of our stays. Breakfast was first rate. Evening dining is available with each nights menu different and scrumptious. The staff was very attentive and helpful in arranging different outings. A bit pricey, but for that special person and occasion, it's definitely well worth it.

Our return to Sedona to celebrate our 1st anniversay was a terrible disapointment.Our arrival was a very cold ""welcome' followed by no instruction about our room or the complimentary/honor drinks snacks. The hot tub was not hot and the room smelled like garbage or sewer that was masked by smoke from the firepit. I also got food poisoning from the hors d'oeuvres and spent the entire night in the bathroom. Over priced and over rated.
