The room is really pretty, and the sitting area is great. It was extremely hot in the room and didn't seem to cool off, but not too big of a deal. The...

Cheaply tarted up
The rooms are comfortable enough here but don't confuse this with the city's great hotels. The baths are cramped for a hotel of this class, as ...

this hotel is overpriced. i could not find the value of what we paid for in the experience. the staff is fairly indifferent, the rooms feel like an apartment building still, the doors stick and are worn out (esp. patio doors), it feels very crampt and tight, there were cigarette butts on the balcony railing (obviously staff is tired of trying those patio doors too), and it is VERY hard to see and find the place. we were parked right in front of it and still couldnt find it! you had better like sea foam green, because its the ONLY color they used. the lobby has an interesting feel to it from the cast bronze crocodile and the roman silouettes mounted permanently to the mirrors slanted to the side. but get a look at the in room snack prices just for a hoot. it seemed to me no one was happy to be there.

I have never stayed in a hotel where I felt more neglected. The staff people are clearly not there to help (or, god forbid, to please) the guest. There was not a single thing that did not go wrong while we stayed there. Our camera got stolen from the valet with all our pictures of our engagement day - they didn't care. They said they were going to call us in the morning to try to solve the problem - the morning shift wasn't even informed of what happened. We went to hang out by the roof top pool and watch the sunset - the heating lamp was broken, they didn't care to repair it. It took them 45 minutes to bring two drinks. In the room, the blowdryer was broken, the lamp didn't work, bathroom was like from the last century. If you are willing to pay close to 300 for a good location, but don't mind to be robbed, lied to and trated like you don't matter because they already took your money - go ahead and stay there because this is the right place for you.

Was hard to find in its hidden location. Passed by it three times even after calling to get specific directions. Food was not good, and pricey. The room was clean, comfortable, and very spacious. No view off the rooms balcony. Staff very friendly. Overall a very nice place to stay and I will stay again next time in LA for business.

this hotel is in a great location in west hollywood. Walking distance to many places of entertainment, dining, and shopping, but I would still probably recommend a car. Without a car, you should be fine though. The pool is really nice and private. This is an ideal private, low key get-away. The service is excellent. Anything you want is only a question away.

For a chic boutique hotel in West Hollywood, the Chamberlain can't be beat. The uber cool roof deck with panaramic views of the city is a fantastic place for a cocktail at sunset or a Sunday brunch. The lobby is small, so you might bump into that hip-hop star that happens to be in residence that weekend - we did! The rooms are spacious and comfortable.

I have no idea why one reviewer said the food is not good. I've had great calamari and a wonderful steak poivre. The food is excellent , end of discussion. They also have the nicest staff I've ever seen in any hotel. The studio suite was so large and looked more like an apartment and the furniture is modern and beautiful. The pool is small but had a great view of the city. The only thing that this hotel lacks is a nice view from the rooms; at least mine had no view at all. Also, it's not easy finding it because it's located on a small street. I would definitely come again.
