Located on the sunny side of Monterey Peninsula beyond the coastal fog belt, Carmel Valley Ranch is surrounded by nearly 500 acres of secluded woodland and landscaped gardens. Nestled in the foothills of the Santa Lucia Mountains, and centrally located in sunny Carmel Valley, the resort is surrounded by plenty of activities and attractions such as the Carmel-by-the-Sea shopping district, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Big Sur coastline, 17-Mile Drive, whale watching, world class hiking trails, deep sea fishing, phenomenal ocean sunset views and a huge concentration of wine tasting rooms surrounded by vineyards. The resort's mild year-round climate encourages year-round outdoor activity. Onsite diversions include a newly renovated Pete Dye designed championship golf course, award-winning Peter Burwash tennis programs on 10 hard and clay courts, fitness room, winding trails for hiking and running, as well as a variety of revitalizing in-suite spa services. Private golf and tennis lessons are available. All guestrooms feature private decks, fireplaces, complimentary high-speed wireless Internet access, iPod docking stations, coffeemakers, and cable TV.
