My boyfriend and I wanted to go to the Aquarium so we chose this place to stay. The valet was helpful and the front desk as well. The self-parking is a...

This hotel is still in its infancy, but one would never know it! The valet staff, polite and knowledgeable; the team at the front desk, welcoming, friendly, genuine and well-trained. Housekeeping was unobtrusive and room was immaculate upon our return each night. The clean simplicity of the decor is perfect. Soft, comforting color scheme is unassuming and relaxing. Has a terrific open courtyard (outdoor heating for the cool evenings) which has been situated perfectly allowing for sweeping views of the bay and beyond. Did not get to try the restaurant, but they seemed to have a respectable number of guests each time I took note. I applaud their hefty deposit policy on pets. As a pet owner (dog lover here), I know the consequences carpet can suffer. They also offer a stiff fine to anyone who smokes on their property. I feel assured the rooms should maintain a clean, neutral scent. Location, location, location! Without a doubt, Intercontinetal knew what they were doing when they selected this piece of real estate! In the heart of Cannery Row. Have valet park the car and keep the keys for your stay. Walk to everything. When we left something in our room, it truly wasn't a chore to retrieve it. Fisherman's Warf is a real walk, but you can hop on the trolley. This was my fourth year back and my first stay at The Clement. I head to Monterey for the MotoGP race at Laguna Seca. Next year I will only stay at The Clement.

This holtel is in a great location in the middle of Cannery Row (and practically adjacent to the Monterey Aquarium). I got grand opening rates which were alot lower than actual value of the hotel rooms). The staff was very helpful and sitting outside at the bar was a nice relaxing experience too. Overall this was a good location and a good stay.

This hotel was phenomenal! All of the staff were very helpful, and kind. We've never stayed somewhere so nice, and we enjoyed every minute, it was hard to leave. The hotel was immaculate in every way, and in the heart of Monterey. We highly recommend this hotel with our great experience.

This place says they are pet friendly on the website, but if you plan on bringing your pet they will tell you they don't have rooms yet for pets, besides the fact they don't tell you until you get there to check in, something else they don't tell you is they charge a 250 deposit + 100 per night the pet stays. They were not very understanding either they just told us to take our dog up the road to the pet boarding place so that we could still check in. They were not willing to give us our refund until we called Travel agent(who were very friendly and understanding and helpful) Its definitely not worth the money they are very pretentious and there are much better hotels in the area that will accommodate your pet if you travel the the pet friendliest city in california. I would not recommend this hotel if you travel with pets. It is in a very good location but it doesn't make up for the bad attitudes.

This is a brand new hotel, opened just two weeks ago. Everything about this place was exceptional: rooms, staff, location and lobby. The rooms were clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. The bathroom has a glass stall shower and large sunken tub. I was impressed by the attention to detail especially the guided tour when we checked in. This hotel is next to the aquarium and Bubba Gumps (highly recommend if you have kids). There is a free trolley car that will take you all over the downtown areas including fisherman wharf...excellent service! I stayed here with my family which included a three and five year old. My only concern is the lack of security on the windows. We stayed on the 4th floor, street side and there were no safety features on the window. If you open the window, it would be very easy for a small child to fall out since it opens all the way. Something to think about if have little ones with you. Overall, I highly recommend this place and look forward to returning again.

We stayed opening weekend and although it started off a bit chaotic, it ended up being the most relaxing stay. The staff was fantastic and even though we had a wait to check in, the management sent over complementary drinks. The entire hotel is a tasteful blend of modern and style. My husband and I stayed for an anniversary weekend away and it was romantic. We walked to dinner and enjoyed wine in front of our fireplace. The staff went over and beyond in friendliness, assistance and help. Even when they encountered us outside of the hotel they were helpful. Since they do allow pets, my only hope is that people who insist on bringing their pets won't deteriorate the quality of the hotel by the wear and smell associated with animals.
the accommodations and staff nailed it. 5 1/2 stars. i hope their friendliness isn't just this nice because they just opened their doors. It...
