Ok, this is an old hotel, a Travelodge with a face lift. But the attention to detail, the staff, the wonderful breakfast and service make all the difference. I have stayed at 5 Star hotels, and this is not one. But they sure don't act like it. As far as the staff is concerned, they are 5 Star all the way. And, in the end, that makes all the difference. Oh, sure the pillows could be fluffier, the mattress could be firmer, but those things fade. Especially when they are quick to bring you extra pillows! The breakfast is superb! And the breakfast room is cheery and delightful. A far cry from some of the dreary places that pass for "Breakfast Rooms" in some establishments. Enjoy!

The first night was 110 plus taxes but secoind night was 180 plus taxes, known in advance. Clearly the property is overpirced at 180. The staff was cordial on my late evening registration and assigned me to a quite room. Some rooms, closer to the abutting freeway may not be so quiet, but I can't say for sure. The included free breakfast was excellent in a pleasant room with large TV, newspapers, scambled eggs, bacon, sausage, cereals, fruit, juice coffee and also a made-to-order omlette station. Very pleasant breakfast room staff. Bed was comfortable. Free Internet. Building is an unusual layout, with sort of a long porch area outside first floor rooms, and with parking underneath or adjacent to the building. Perhaps the building was once some other form of facilit. In summary, I would say the Zico is a good value at the rate of 110 to 140, but not higher.

This hotel was okay, and they are definitely trying to be a 3-star hotel, but this is really just an older motel that's been "remodeled" with a trendy paint job and new bathroom fixtures. Pros: friendly staff, underground parking, an AWESOME breakfast every morning, complete with custom-made omelets, microwave and fridge in room, free wi-fi, large rooms Cons: bedding and carpet were frayed and had stains, cold air and very loud traffic noise poured in through the closed, dirty windows (VERY loud... it's next to the freeway. Try and ask for a room facing away from Hwy 85), bathroom was miniscule, pipes rattled. I don't regret my stay here, but probably won't stay again.

Not a bad place for what we needed. Very unique decor, lots of color and pizazz. Room was small, but cozy. Bathroom was small, a little cramped, but worked for our purpose. Had a bathroom scale, which was different. The bed was extremely firm, more than we like. The continental breakfast was great, complete with omelet bar and juice. Hard to get into the parking lot because of road construction. Would stay again.

The room was clean and the included breakfast was good. The "gym" consisted of three very basic pieces of equipment and was a disappointment. Road construction in the area made entrance a little difficult.

Don't stay in old rooms. Be sure you get what they represent. Ask for a do not disturb sign, they aren't provided and the maids start at 8:00 am! Towels were frayed, shower curtain missing hooks. Only good thing was location and adequate breakfast -- but it's only served until 9:00 am, got to be an early riser here!!!!!
