We had a great 34th anniversary weekend getaway at the Best Western Station House Inn. Great Location, just a little off the beaten path. We caught Sammy Hagar at Harrah?s and it was amazingly quite for a Sammy Hagar Cinco De Mayo Weekend! We plan to do it again next year. Great hotel and the restaurant is excellent too. All staff were polite and courteous. You really get a lot for your money here. We were going to stay somewhere else and luckily found this one instead! I highly recommend this hotel!

Its my new favorite when I go to South Lake Tahoe. Great location, walking distance to casinos and the beach! The breakfast, which was free, was fantastic, as well as the staff that work there. I will definitely go back.

This hotel is in a fantastic location. Short walk to the lake. Walking distance to shopping, casinos, etc. The trolley also stops nearby. Small but nice pool. There is a restaurant on site that offers a free, full breakfast. They also fire up the grill for lunch next to the pool.The room was a little nicer than many lower end motels (granite or faux granite countertops, bathroom was attractive and nicer than many others in a similar price range). However, we had a queen room and it was tiny. We had two suitcases and one bike. Once we brought in our stuff, the room was packed. Itsy, bitsy bathroom and very little room between the bed, the wall and the table and chairs. They said they were going to start merging the queen rooms into suites but I'm assuming that will bring the price up quite a bit.I'd stay here again just because of the great location (and assuming the prices don't go up if they start combining rooms).

My husband and I along with another couple went to South Lake Tahoe to have a relaxing weekend of bike riding along the lake, shopping, fishing for the boys, and pool lounging for the girls. It was PERFECT! The room was very clean and spacious. There was even enough room for us to keep our bikes in the room. We were within walking distance of all the shops and the beach. The room cost included a free breakfast...not tiny danish, coffee, and juice...but a REAL breakfast. Eggs any way you like, pancakes with fresh strawberries or blueberry pancakes, bacon, sausage, home fries, biscuits and gravy...you get the idea...it was delicious and included in our room stay. X, the hostess at the restarant was just the sweetest woman you ever wanted to meet. It was like being invited into her home. I would definately stay here on my next visit.

The free breakfast was great. You order it in the restaurant, whatever you want, and it's all free!! The pool and hot tub were spacious and very clean. Loved the free passes to the private beach about 2 blocks down, easy walk. Rooms were very clean. Staff was very friendly, too.

We just returned from a 2 night stay and we can't say enough good things about our accomodations. We are making more reservations as we speak.
