ATTENTION BLACKJACK PLAYERS: Sadly many casinos like Harvey's are robbing players (further) by not paying full on natural blackjack anymore. They are...

Just spent some time down in the casino. Broke even after 4 hours of slots with the wife and getting free drinks. Only a few really fun machines. Really...

Wifey got 2 free rooms at Harvey's. We both hadn't stayed at this hotel probably since the late 80's early 90's. It used to be super busy and I remember...

Rooms and staff were good. The only problem was the noise and smoke from the people going down the hallways.Smell of smoke coming into the room.

A very good value for the money. Room was clean, roomy, and had a great view (ask for a high floor so you'll be above the trees). The lake tower gives a better view of the lake and is away from the street, it's worth the extra few /day. The decor (early american) isn't 'sexy' at the moment, but everything was in excellent condition. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom will allow 3-4 people get showered and dressed in the morning without bumping elbows too much! The staff was most helpful and professional, making the stay very pleasant. The valet parking is free so you don't have to drag back and forth to the parking garage when it's cold and snowy outside. What wasn't top drawer you ask? The 24 hour cafe features a buffet -- don't! Order off the menu if you eat there, at least it'll be fresh. We were there during a very slow time, most everything on the buffet had been under the heat lamps for too long. The food at the Hard Rock is tasty but standard fare. We didn't get to the 19th floor resturant, can't comment on that.If you're a gambler Harrah's across the street (or through the tunnel) is a bit more active. Harrah's don't have it's own poker room, the one at Harvey's supports both properties. Unless it's busy most of the poker players are locals who know each other's game too well -- if you're a decent player you'll do all right.

I've stayed at Harvey's Lake Tahoe several times and would recommend them to anyone. Their staff is 100% friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a perfect location, close to shopping, resturants, other casinos and golf course.

My wife and I spent two nights at this hotel. The location was great, situated between the ski slopes and the lake. Request a room on an upper floor so that you have a view of the lake. The staff at the hotel was great. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. This hotel is defintiely in need of a renovation though. The rooms are dated, and while well maintained and clean, could use some updating. Also, a covered bridge from the parking garage to the hotel would sure beat dodging traffic as you walk to check in. Overall though, Harvey's was a great stay for the price, and we would stay there again.

We traveled to Harvey's on an excursion from Syracuse, NY. We've been to Tahoe before, but never stayed at the hotel/casinos. Our experience couldn't have been better. Our room was very spacious and immaculate, AND we had an awesome view! Every staff member that we came in contact with was wonderful! AND, as far as not having coffee makers in rooms, all you have to do is ASK. They deliver it to your room (at no extra charge), same with small fridge. The location is "the best". You are within walking distance of so many things. Be sure you take the trolley ride . It costs * pp for all day. It will even take you as far as Emerald Bay. It is so worth the money. Check the hotel concerige, she gave us free passes! I am a travel agent, however I told no one until the day before we went home.....so we didn't have preferential treatment. They just treat people so nice. When people want to know where to stay in Tahoe, I will certainly steer them to Harvey's. We had a WONDERFUL time!
