Decent cheap motel. Things are a little worn and the cleaning could use a little more detail work but it is fundamentally a decent, well cared for place....

You get what you pay for. And when you pay $40/night, you can't expect the Ritz. That being said, this place worked out well. It was also in better...

I believe that sheets should be change on a daily basis. Also you should have rooms with refrigerators for people that are staying longer than 2 nights.

I have stayed at this motel 3 times over the past year. Everytime I had a good clean room, wonderful breakfast bar, and super hospitality. Although I do not stay in Colorado Springs very often, believe me, if I need to be in the Mainitou Springs area I will definitely stay here.

Stayed here in May and it was great. But last trip was a mess. Room and bathroom smelled so bad of smoke that my hanging clothes began to smell. Electrical sockets so old and loose that very few of them worked -- had to plug in the fridge, my COMPUTER, and coffeemaker into bathroom sockets for them to work (sat on floor outside of bathroom to do work on computer; had to high-step over the cord to fridge when I entered or left room because the cord was so short). Wifi was down for 48 hours. Bed linens were stained, and bedspreads smelled. Staff was very friendly and helpful, but too many problems with room, so I moved to a new hotel. Location of hotel is excellent, and price is right. Just do a VERY THOROUGH check of your room before you sign the credit card agreement!

We loved the pool, the staff was excellent, beds comfortable and free breakfast awsome. The location was perfect for activities in Manitou Springs. The staff was some of the best I have ever met and the price was excellent. Carpet a little worn and the rooms are designed just to be slept in but since that is what we used it for it was perfect. The pool was a huge hit with the children and we found it hard to drag them away to sight see.

We spent 8 days there visiting our son who had just returned from a 15 month tour in Iraq. The beds were comfortable, the pool was clean and warm, the continental breakfast was the same every day, but there was a variety every day. My son lost one of his best friends in Iraq. HE wore a bracelet that had his friends name, date of his death and squadron on it. When we checked out, it had fallen behind the night stand. The staff took the time to look for it, found it and mailed it to us in New Mexico. This was above and beyond and we would definitely recommend this to any family, especially a family on a budget. Thank you!

I based this stay on previous comments from Travel agency reviews for this Travelodge and would agree with it being well worth the money. The room was very clean, new A/C, new(er) paint, plenty of toiletries, good sized room, extremely comfortable beds, very quiet (even though my room faced the highway - just ran fan for some background noise, the highway is not a busy one at night to begin with). The inside pool was open and looked clean although I didn't get to jump in. The breakfast was more than adequate - cereals, juices, milk, coffees, teas, fruits (oranges, bananas), waffles, bagels, bread, cream cheese. The location was convenient to CC, Manitou Springs, Pikes Peak, downtown Colo Spgs, although a few miles from everything. The grounds weren't anything special, but that didn't matter. The room was cleaned the next day and new towels were left.
