Less than $70 on Hotels.com. Clean and functional. It is a bit dated. My linens were a bit threadbare in spots. Free breakfast with omelette bar was a nice...

Perfectly adequate, nothing special. Clean and felt safe but showed its age in some areas. Most of staff was verypolite.

My sister and I brought our daughters to Colorado Springs for a 3 day weekend getaway. Overall, we were very happy with this hotel. It was very clean, the staff were very friendly and we always felt safe and secure. The free breakfast that was included was tasty and a nice gesture. The food was nothing amazingly creative, but for free, it tasted good and there were generous choices. We were happy with it. The pool area was attractive and I liked being able to sit in the lounge area while the kids were swimming and still keeping an eye on them. However, my sister and the kids declared that the pool was freezing cold. She did mention it to one of the employees, who said that he would see what he could do, but the next night it was still just as cold. For an indoor pool in February one would expect a more comfortable temp. Another problem was the hot tub area. Granted 1 hot tub for a hotel this size is not really adequate and one would expect to have to wait for a turn, there definately were the patrons that "hogged" the facility the entire evening. I doubt there was a policy concerning this issue, however, they may want to consider implementing one. Once my sister and the kids did get a turn at the hot tub, they were kicked out 10 minutes later by a staffer who claimed that it underwent a "cleaning cycle" however a group of teen girls immediately got in and were not asked to leave for this so called "cleaning cycle". That was an issue of honesty that we were not exactly happy with.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Academy. The staff and General Managers were more than helpful and more than friendly. The hotel was very clean, inside and out, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. I will definitely return to stay here, and recommend this hotel with confidence!

This stay went well. Hotel staff was great and friendly, especially the breakfast hostess. The hotel offers plenty of amenities and is located in a very safe part of town. A large mall and plenty of restaurants are located within two or three miles or even walking distance. Overall, this was a good stay.

This is the 2nd time in a month at this hotel. Both times (but not in the past) there was broken or unusable equipment in the room. While they responded to the missing light bulbs, broken microwave or coffee pot, someone should check everything beforehand to be sure all works! Also, there were live insects in the room (bottom floor) however they were "sluggish"...but crawling...so they may have already been through a sprayed area.Overall, for the cost of the room, I was disappointed, particularly when I remember this in the past couple of years as a nicer hotel.
