From the website to the actual site, what a difference! The pictures on the internet do not do it justice and we told the owner that he needs to get new pictures. The room we had was beautiful, spacious and clean. The hotel staff was extremely friendly, we were shown to our room and we had a sound coming from the air conditioner that we were told would be taken care of and it was gone when we got back to the room. The location can't be beat, we were able to sit in the courtyard with a bottle of wine and enjoy a nice evenig right in the heart of the historic district. I plan to tell everyone that I can that the St. George Inn is not only worth the visit but it actually enhanced my wife and my romantic getaway. We couldn't be happier with the whole experience. To think of it, maybe we shouldn't tell everybody, then it will be booked for when we WILL be coming back!!!

The staff was excellent. Parking was nearby at * per day. Breakfast was ""okay"" and was served in the narrow lobby of hotel. You could, however, go outside in the courtyard and eat at a table under the trees. Balcony and having a small refrigerator in the room was great. Our biggest complaints were 1) noisy teenagers in the streets at night; 2) extremely thin walls which lead to disruption of sleep due to TVs playing next door, snoring of neighbors, and even those in love. I based this reservation on the posted reviews and was very much disappointed, especially for the price.

Not your cookie cutter hotel. Nice setting and location at the beginning of St. George Street, the quieter end of the pedestrian shopping street. We had great views of the fort and city gates. Friendly staff, clean and comfy rooms.

The Inn was wonderful! I liked how when you walked out of your room it looked like a villiage. The staff was wonderful and the stores under the rooms were great. I would stay again in this hotel if I were to go again to St. Augustine. The shops are all in walking distance and the trolley to take you around the town was just outside the door. the fort and Ripley's is within walking distance. I would recommend not going during July if the humidity is something you are not use to. Otherwise, it is a great place to stay and to see the town.

We had a wonderful time and can't to go again this year, in fact I am making resevations as we speak. So much to do and see and I love walking out of my room and I am there in the mist of it all. Wish everyone could treasure as we did.
