This 22 room elegant inn is a tropical oasis in the heart of old town, just one half block off Duval Street and an easy walk to restaurants, shops, and other attractions. Exquisitely appointed guest rooms are fully equipped with 27 inch color TV with movie and sports channels, radio, air conditioning / heat, refrigerators, microwave ovens, digital safes, ceiling fans, coffee makers, hair dryers, irons, robes and two-line phones with voice-mail and computer data ports. All rooms are non-smoking. The Almond Tree has all the amenities of a B and B with complimentary continental breakfast and happy hour with free beer, wine and soft drinks. Cool off in our sparkling pool or relax in our bubbly spa. Off-Street Parking: One parking space is available for each guest room at only 5.00 per day. All guests must be 25 years or older unless accompanied by a parent. Just off Duval Street.

We stumbled upon this Gem as it has guest parking. Pulled into the parking area at 10 AM. They booked a room for us which was ready at 2 PM. The suite was top notch. The continental breakfast, the flowers in the suite, the happy hour, the pool, and the hot tub were excellent. Location is such that you can walk to everything but is still located in a quiet area away from the night life. My wife and I are already planning a return trip to Key West and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.

Hands down the best hotel in the keys if you?re looking for a laid-back atmosphere complete with a koi pond, waterfall, and tropical pool. The hotel also serves complementary breakfast and afternoon happy hour by the pool. The staff was very personable and knew of all the hot spots for fun and dining (thanks B and M). The Almond Tree is also in a great location. We walked to the beach, restaurants, historical sites, and Mallory Square so no need for your car. We have already booked our stay for the summer! Last of all, we forgot a few things and they went the extra mile to FedEx them back to us. WOW! That?s service. For the price, it?s a no brainier. I?m never staying anywhere else in the keys.

The actual bathroom area that contained the toilet and the shower were too small. We stayed in a ""suite"" and the beds definately needed new mattresses. There were 2 broken, dirty chairs on our patio. Complimentary breakfast was usual continental breakfast fare, not much to speak of. Free parking was great when (or if) you could find a space in their lot. Many people not staying at the hotel took over the guest reserved parking spaces, and since there is no one in the office to complain to from 10 PM to 7 AM this was very unpleasant.

Rooms were comforatable and decorated great. Staff, pool, continental breakfast, complimentary happy hour were all great. Literally steps away from the action on Duval St. Stayed here 2 nights and wished we had planned our whole vacation here, although we had a great time in the other Key areas as well. We will stay here again (probably for a lengthier stay) when we come back.
