The hotel was ok, but in my opinion it was somewhat overpriced. Also I think whoever is running the hotel needs some lessons in hospitality and tact. The week before I came there to visit my family who lives nearby, I lost my check card, so I had to rely on a credit card that was nearly maxed out to pay part of the bill. I told the morning receptionist that I would be paying partially with my credit card and partially cash (like 100 million other people this time of year, I was budgeting money). I asked her if it would be ok and she said yes. II want to state that if there had been a problem with the arrangement, right at that point I would have paid the bill in cash. We went to spend Chistmas Eve with my family, arriving back at the hotel around 11 PM. I was getting ready to turn in, when there was a knock at the door. It is not the best feeling to get a stern knock at your door at this time of night when you are not expecting it. I answered and it was the night receptionist, who proceeded to tell me there was a problem with my card and I needed to get another card or cash or something to resolve the bill, and they had overextended me( there was 100 dollars on my card, the bill was 200, which is why I expressly explained to the day receptionist how I would be paying). I feel like the managment treated us like criminals the way they handled it. I will NEVER stay there again.

The second night i went into my room and I was going to place my wallet on the tv stand when a 14-16 inch snake struck me in the web of my hand! I went down to the front desk to complain and they offered to take me to the ER. Since there was not actual puncture I declined. That was the last communication with management. Through a voicemail they offered only 1 night stay anywhere.. which I didnt hear until I was already home. Now attempting to get credit has gone unanswered. I am also seeking legal advice

Only 6 months old and as new. A number of long term guests give it a real ""community"" feel. highly recommended.
