Got a pretty good deal for a studio in the G bldg of the Kihei Akahi last winter. As a solo female traveler, the condominium complex felt very safe. In...

We have stayed here before and was wonderful. Each condo is individually owned and no standards are required to rent. Our unit had no AC as advertised, floors were filthy when we arrived, 3 of 4 dining room chairs torn with foam sticking out and turning them over they were dirty, couch broken couldn't sit on it, livingroom chairs dirty and very unfriendly to sit in....after 15 min wife had to help me out and back hurt the rest of trip. Toaster not working so bought a new one and donated it for the condo owner to use. Mold growing on the ceiling in livingroom. Not the condo fault, but the condos next door had party until 2:30 each night which was very loud and with no AC had to leave windows open. Light switches on fan in bedroom, had to climb up on bed to reach, as light switch had been bypassed and didn't work. They finally agreed to move us to another condo, which I found out was 40 dollars per night cheaper but no refund.... and had to pack everything up and move four days into our stay. At least this move salvaged our stay as we were there for 12 days. Views were nice from Akahi, beach accross street was great and walking distance, bed was soft and nice, but from there is was all down hill, which is good if you are a snow skier but not in Paradise. Please use caution and look into online direct with owner so you see what you are getting at this condo.

We stayed here for our honeymoon. It was wonderful, although our room did not have A/C. It did not seem that many did. It suited our needs well though. We would definitely stay here again. It is right across the street from the beach, and most rooms had a nice view. We were in C505 and had an excellant view of the ocean!!
