Beware! I reserved 3 rooms through Priceline and the hotel must have been discriminating because my room was horrible. There was mold in the shower and all around the toilet, wallpaper was torn from the wall in several places, unknown substances on walls, explosed outlet under the desk, dusty and dirty. The furniture was scarred and battered. Burn marks on the carpet. The door had what appeared to be pry marks on the outside. The heater was either not working at all or burning up while making a horrible clanging sound all night. The restaurant was closed during our stay with no explanation and I can't believe anyone would rate this a four star hotel. I did post pictures of my room on trip advisor for anyone wanting proof of the horrible conditions.

This is a great place to stay. My husband and I wanted a close and fairly inexpensive get away, and we were extremely pleased. There are several packages to choose from and we opted for the Romance package. The champagne, roses and chocolate covered strawberries were delivered as we got back from dinner. I don't think that it could have been more perfect. Another bonus to the package we added to our stay, we recieved a 50.00 gift card to use at any of the Hotel Phillips restaurants or room service. We opted for the Phillips Chophouse, while beautiful, the food wasn't all that we had hoped, but still a good meal (we have excellent steak houses in Omaha that are hard to beat) It was very handy not to have to drive around downtown Kansas City with all of the road construction going on at the time. The staff was wonderful and the beds soooo comfortable. I almost asked them where they purchased them from!It was a great weekend getaway. Great location, wonderful atmosphere...it was just what we needed to reconnect.

The hotel was a very nice older hotel. My wife is allergic to down and it was in the room and the staff came to clean it up and were very fast and pleasant and offered suggestions for our entertainment that night.

A beautiful hotel in downtown within walking distance from Music Hall and Convention Center. Room very nice but had trouble with a/c and heating. Maintenance came in and it seem to be working fine but at night heat would not go off and could not get a/c to come on so had to leave windows open to keep the room cool. Valet workers were wonderful just give them 15 minutes to get your vehicle when you call down. Ordered breakfast one morning and it was delivered hot and on time. The cr? brulee french toast is amazing! Would stay again!

This beautifully redone hotel provides old world charm and fabulous decor. The rooms are very European with comforters and fluffy pillows. The bathrooms tend to be on the small side but this is an excellant place to stay in Kansas City.

We were shoehorned into a tiny room at the end of the hall overlooking a dirty alley with overflowing dumpsters. I suspect this was because we used an online 'bargain' site to book our room. While the rooms were very well decorated, the bathroom had old fixtures that needed replacing. The worst part of our stay was at 8am, housekeeping knocked and quickly opened the door without waiting for a response! We were still in bed. I was mortified! When complaining to the front desk at checkout, all we got was rolled eyes, no response or apology. Most horrible treatment at any hotel ever!
