The nitty-gritty: 1. Location is great, walkable to Uptown attractions. If you're sticking local, you don't need a car. If you want one, there's a Hertz...

We headed to the Queen City for a guys weekend. the Westin was the best hotel to stay at--it was located right downtown you can see the Panther's stadium from the hotel. We never had to worry about driving-- as soon as you step out of the hotel there was a towncar waiting to take you where you needed to go and pick you up. Plenty of parking. Workout room was more up to date them my gym back home. Great Beds and amazing view!!! Stay at this hotel.

Right at check in never received room requested, asked for room that we had reserved it was if I was not telling the truth. Housekeeping did not clean our room correctly did not wipe down bed tables or clean coffee maker. On the Sunday morning at 7:50 am some one called our room asking us if we drove an type of car woke us up. They really do not care lots of other options down town charlotte we will try next time.

We live in Charlotte so we were looking for a nice place to get away without driving far or packing much. City view of Uptown Charlotte was fantastic and made the stay. I am sure the south facing rooms have great sunset views. Clean, contemporary, new hotel. Walking distance to theatres, bars, and good restaurants. I thought the room would be bigger than a standard hotel room since I booked a deluxe room but I think I was paying to be on the 23rd floor instead of room size. Ember Restaurant was good for dinner but swamped on Sunday morning. Should have done room service on Sunday.

We splurged on a ""Grand Deluxe"" room that was neither grand nor deluxe. We paid extra for nothing. My advice -- nice hotel, but pay the lowest rate for a standard room, because that's what you will get regardless.

All I can say it is too big for any individual service. Expect lines, indifferent attitudes, and waiting times
