The Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa is one of the South's most venerable and famous grand resorts. Built in 1913 from granite stones mined from Sunset Mountain, the resort overlooks the Asheville, North Carolina skyline and provides guests with majestic views of the legendary Blue Ridge Mountains. For decades, the Inn has been a favorite year-round destination for both leisure and business guests as the resort continues to lure future generations to its magical mountainside splendor. Its splendid views, old world charm, peerless amenities, and a long tradition of exceptional service and Southern hospitality make it a place to savor as one of the most enduringly original and exciting resorts in America.
Stella might not find her groove here, but she'd certainly find it groovy to be in these digs. Ms. Groove is for those who like character in their women...

Very cozy accomodations (in the historic section of the facility). Thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas Eve festivities in the main lobby. Excellent Christmas buffet in the Blue Ridge. Only regret not having time to enjoy the spa; will have to return for a mid-winter spa retreat!

Maybe it was ""the spot"" during F, Scott Fitzgeralds time but it needs much improvement now for what they charge you. I have never paid so much and gotten so little.

I have stayed at this place over a dozen times. It is VERY kid friendly. The workout facility is better than any other place I have stayed and the spa is fantastic. Really fantastic. Stay in the historic section. Rooms are small but charming. Anyways, in a place like this, you shouldn't be in your room that much. The corner rooms in the historic section are much larger than the non-corner rooms. You can find great deals on the web for this place.

If you like old world charm and the service that comes with it, this is the place to stay. Make sure you stay in the old section. That is the area with the most charm. The spa is amazing. The grounds, breathtaking. Worth whatever they charge.

This is one of the four or five most unique hotels on the east coast. Bartok wrote a symphony here, Fitzgerald a book, and nearly every President and other plenipotentiary of the last almost century has stayed here, and for good reason. It's really a ""must"" at least once in everyone's life...it's the hotel that ""made"" Asheville, as much as Vanderbilt's Biltmore Estate made the area a destination.
This was one of the nicest parts about our trip to Asheville. I loved the Grove Park Inn. We stayed in one of the remodeled rooms in the main...
