Let me start by saying I only stay at the La Quinta because when traveling they allow pets without a fee and there isn't a huge out-of-pocket overall. I was...

Clean place with comfy beds. Also pet friendly!! We were able to get a room by the pool exit so it was easy to take the dogs for a walk. The Cracker...

After driving 10 hours we arrived to fnd out our room was upstairs and no elevator, with three young kids and a lot of luggage I requeste first floor room change, the front desk man was very nice to accomodate us. KUDOS!!!!!! Nice hotel next to the I-10. Staff's service excellent. Breakfast ok if you like yogourt or wafles, I recomend walking across the street to the gas station, they have a burritos restaurant inside, the best New mexico burritos I ever tried, try the "chile verde con carne".

1) I requested a non-smoking room. They put me in one that reeked of smoke. When I asked to be moved, they moved me to a room that was much smaller, of lower quality. 2) Twice they locked me out of my room, saying that my trip had not been paid for - I had to produce the travel website printout to get them to activate the keycard again. 3) One night, after locking me out, I was sleeping - at about 2AM a staff member (I know it was staff, as they used a passkey and not a key card) opened the door and came into my room - backing out when they realized that I was there. It was frightening, and wrecked my sleep for the night. The bottom line is this: DO NOT STAY HERE - THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE! - It looks nice enough from the outside, but you won't enjoy your visit.

Have traveled I/10 from Houston to Phoenix many times, stayed in several hotel/motels between El Paso and Tucson. We found Las Cruces was a good place to stop for the night, staying at the La Quinta is a 10 for the money, clean, quite, felt safe, great breakfast, very friendly staff. Easy on/off from freeway.

I got a little lost on my way to the hotel, but the desk helped me find me way. I had business at the University which was close to the hotel so that was nice. The front desk was always helpful when I called with questions, etc. This location is also convenient to several restaurants, etc. The rooms were very clean, which was nice. And very secure, which for a woman travelling alone was reassuring.

Distinctive whitewashed and tile-roofed chain offers convenience and consistency.
Since opening its first location next to the San Antonio World's Fair in 1968, this well-known chain has become synonymous with con
