Good location to things. It could be a death trap. Small elevator, 2 people at most with luggage and very small stairway. No way to get out quickly in case of an fire. Weekend desk person not friendly. Not worth the price.

One of the few places in NY you can have your own room with private bathroom for under 100 a night. Comfy bed. Rest like Motel with better artwork. Fairly convenient location in garment district. I had very noisy neighbors. Good choice for budget minded travelers.

I am a single female who traveled to NYC alone. I was very concerned about safety, but found the Herald Square hotel to be very safe. The area immediately around it isn't the best, but less than half a block away are two very busy streets that are safe. I never felt unsafe and was very pleased with what I got for the price. The location is excellant.
