This hotel is better than I expected. It's conveniently located close to the subway, very easy to get to and clean. For New York, the rooms are quite roomy....

Good value for the money. I found out you can stay further uptown but for more . The room was very attractively decorated and all the staff were extremely helpful. Rooms are smaller than the photos look on the internet but hey you're in Mahattan and who expects a big room? You still have plenty of room to move around. Bed was comfortable and the breakfast was great featuring both hot and cold items every morning. Also, they changed the menu from am to am and that was good. Also, you have computers in the lobby with internet access which I appreciated since I did not bring my laptop. There are resturants, banks, drugs stores nearby where you can grab the stuff you forget to bring, cheaper sodas or replace stuff you have to throw out in the airplort. Taxis and buses are easily found on 6th and 7th streets (the 2 major crossstreets.) My only concern was walking around the block at night because the street is quiet (which is good) but there are also not a lot of people around after dark. Overall, good hotel - worth the money. Empire State Building is about 10 blocks up and Madison PARK (not the venue) is 2 blocks over.

When we arrived, we were told that though we were allowed to book for 5 in a room, a rollaway bed doesn't really fit in the room. That being the case, we would appreciated being told in advance so we could have made other arrangements. The hallways were very narrow and the carpet was smelly but the room was clean. Housekeeping knocked at 730 am. Of course, we were not ready for her. Most guests would still have been sleeping. We asked her to come back. When we came home at night, tired and eager to go to sleep, the room wasn't cleaned at all. We were told housekeeping had left for the day. We asked for fresh towels and for the garbage to be removed which they did right away.It was close to the subway and to almost everything.

This hotel was great! The rooms were clean, the staff very professional. The free breakfast was healthy. This was a family vacation and my husband and I had our three sons with us. It's not the best location to stay at being that you are so far away from Times square however, if you stayed closer you would have to pay more I'm sure. There is a star bucks right across the street, CVS pharmacy and whole foods. Also the little pizza place right on the corner same street as hotel was really good but closed at 8:30 p.m. Taxi rides were a bit high but then that's New York, stay with either the subway by getting a metro pass and learning the lines or go with yellow taxis and not black cars which really charge you a very high price. Bubba Gump Shrimp at Times Square was AWESOME! Another place to eat was located right beside the Empire State Building (beer place) which served some wonderful sweet potatoes and pork loin plus the waitress was very welcoming and accomdiating about my husband and I sharing a plate. Everyone we met was nice to us Southerners :)

This hotel is hidden away on a quiet street of Manhattan. It is small, rooms were very clean, breakfast was great and it was economical for being located in Manhattan.

Organised a trip for 10 around the States and came across this hidden gem! The value for money was fantastic (*/night/room) and rooms+breakfast were remarkably of high quality.
