We stayed one night at the Holiday Inn. After a lot of searching on websites, we snagged a terrific rate: under , taxes included! I suspect this is a rarity. Hint: we got it only a day or two before we were planning to go, so I guess they discounted rooms to keep occupancy up. I wanted something that was walking distance to a small Off-Broadway Theater that was nearby (10 blocks or so). Southern New York City can be confusing: it is not the easy grid that is Midtown, so we circled around for a while but found it eventually. I wish I had known that a valet would be available to take care of the car immediately. I didn't find out until I got to the desk. Overnight parking was ! (Ouch) The room was VERY comfortable - a king bed and a queen - a corner room - FIVE windows! I would have selected one higher up to get away from the traffic noise (you can even hear the subway rumble through on the fourth floor!) Bed was terrific. Don't go for their overpriced breakfast: ( for a Continental breakfast for a hot breakfast!) We went around the corner to Kitchen COmmune 448 Broadway and had great coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice and two rather eclectic breakfast offerings for for the two of us.

The room was small - but it worked out fine. We had two double beds 2 adults and 2 teen agers. Clean. Friendly, courteous, and helpful personnel. Great shower. Nice view of Chinatown from the bar and restaurant.

My family and I have visited NY many times over the years and this hotel beats out all the others! It was quiet (not noisy like the Theater district) and is within walking distance of Little Italy - great eating! A subway station is just aound the corner. I will definitely stay here again -clean, quiet and reasonable!

Located in Soho, this hotel is in a very interesting neighborhood. For those who are easily bothered by the different lifestyles that give Soho its character, this hotel isn't for you. Walking even late a night/early morning, I always felt safe. I never felt threatened or uneasy. For shopping & dining, it's a great location. For the travelers who want to experience more than the typical tourist stuff, I recommend this hotel. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was small, but the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was very nice. Very clean and comfortable.

Convenient to China Town and the Italian section. Not far from NYU and good places to eat.

the rooms are incredibly small; mold around the tub; area is ""scary"" at night- up the block from a refuge mission; way overpriced.
