This was a very convenient place to stay and great for a family of three (suite with fold-out sleeper sofa). Very convenient to subway and walking distance to many attractions. Breakfast at the restaurant was very good, but dinner was a mixed experience (poor service, mixed quality of food). The hotel was undergoing some renovations, but this was not a problem for us at all.

My adult daughter and I have traveled a lot ,and we loved this hotel. It has an elegant, yet safe and homey feel. The staff is pleasant and courteous. The restaurant breakfast buffett is very good. Rooms are larger than most in NYC for the price and beds are comfortable and have luxurious linens. It is convenient to shopping, sight-seeing, and around the corner from subway if you like to use it. Within two or three blocks; St Patrick's, 30 Rock , 5th Ave and Park and Madison Ave shopping, lots of health friendly fast food and also elegant dining too. Super place. I plan to stay there again.

Well located hotel with more than ample space - an atypical NYC room. Good food, pleasant service and great location.

THE KIMBERLY was part of our magical 8 day trip to NYC. My 20 year old son enjoyed the accomodations as much as my 67 year old sister. We had the one bedroom suite with 4 adults. We requested the 2 double beds in the bedroom and thus had plenty of room and sleeping arrangements with the queen sized sleeper sofa in the living/dining area. We had reserved a roll-a-way, but the beds were so comfortable we canceled it. My son drew the sleeper sofa which was not comfotable with the bed pulled out. The second night he decided to just sleep on the couch without pulling out the bed. He is 6'4" tall and was comfortable. The feather beds and the cloud soft blankets were wonderful. There were extra blankets and more pillows than 4 of us could use---at least 3 a piece. The kitchen had a coffee maker, microwave, a full sized refrig., and a dish washer that the maid used each morning. We had a 15" screen laptop for my daughter's on-line college work which just fit into the in room safe which was an important feature for us. There was enough drawer space for the 4 of us. There were 2 double closets and a great linen type closet just off the bathroom that helped keep our toiletries out of the way but near by. There was also a very arge triple mirrored/triple medicine cabinet in the bathroom that was a nice feature. The flat screen tv in the bedroom was great. The little tv in the living area was not so good, but this is NYC. All we needed to watch was news in the morning. All of the staff were friendly and very helpful.

We had a small room with wet floor carpet. We told front desk person but still wet carpet near airconditioner area. The days we were at New York was hot and humid. The airconditioner were not colling down room temparature and the room has not had room temparature control. There is wood floor stairs(about three step stair) in the room and both my girlfriend and I had fall on wooden step floor. I will never stay at the Kimberly Hotel again.

Not Great
Very mediocre, poor service, three-starish rooms, just plain run-down. With major refurbishing could be promising with it's incredible location.
