The hotel has an old world elegance to it. Staff, continental breakfast, room were great. Location was perfect. There is a secure parking lot underground as well. We walked all over downtown: Farmer's Market, Portland Art Museum, and sundry other places. including some wonderful eateries. Suggestion: be sure room is not next to elevator. One evening we had some noisy "neighbors" on our floor who entertained us in the early AM. However, that was not the hotel's fault. We will certainly stay there again! .

The Mark Spencer is located in the heart of Portland near the Pearl District and only one block from Powell's Book Store. We took the light rail from the Airport and walked to the hotel about three blocks in downtown. The hotel is on the street car line. Continental breakfast is included with the stay. In the afternoon they have coffee or tea with cookies. Hotel is handy to many good restaurants. We would definitely stay there again, and have recommended it to our friends.

Close to everything, the staff was helpful and friendly. Good buy for the money. Clean rooms also quiet. A boutique hotel.

This hotel was outstanding for the price. I would for sure stay at this hotel again. I walked from the amtrak station to the hotel. And the bonus was that the Whole Food Store is one block away!!!
