We had our 5th semi-annual conference at this hotel; it was by far the best service we have ever had (and we have used other major chains before). From the moment we made contact with the hotel the service was extraordinary. For our preconference meeting, the committee was expecting to go over lists across the event coordinator's desk. Not so. We went to a beautiful boardroom where the heads of every department were waiting for us, one by one told us of the features and services that their respective areas would provide and asked us if there were any issues we wanted to talk about.During the conference, all the meeting rooms had a special phone that we could pick up at any moment to ask for any help needed. And we would get it within 5 minutes.Every hotel employee (with very few exceptions) greeted people with a smile and had a friendly disposition. The hotel even provided the planning committee with a complimentary round of drinks and appetizers at the lobby bar the last night of the event. As for me, the room was heavenly -- I didn't miss my own bed and didn't know I wasn't home until I would open my eyes in the morning. If you are planning an event in Philadelphia, don't hesitate to book it at the DoubleTree. You won't be disappointed.

All employees had a great smile. Meeting rooms were the right size. Perfect location. They could add hooks in the bathrooms, since there are few places to hang towels one wishes to use again to conserve water.

I was there for a conference. The meeting rooms were very good, large and comfortable. The rooms were large. The food was very good and reasonably priced. I really have no complaints and would stay there again if I ever have occasion to travel to Philadelphia in the future.

We'd been wanting so long just to escape from the day to day and relax... our Doubletree weekend inthe city did it for us. A great bed, great view of Broad Street, a steamy-hot shower with great water pressure, yummy cookies on check-in. We're from the burbs but played tourist for the weekend and just enjoyed the space to relax. The staff were friendly and very helpful... a plus in Phlly! Great toiletries inthe bathrooms, ample full sized towels... the kind of stuff that irks me in other hotels was just well done here. I'd recommend it to anyone and plan on going back.

The front desk accomodated my early check in request, but the non smoking room smelled like it was changed to non smoking yesterday. The front staff was friendly and the location is very good, with plenty to do in walking distance. The beds are new but the room is dated.
