Located in the heart of the historic district of Charleston, the Best Western King Charles Inn abounds in grand Southern tradition and ambiance. Eighteenth century charm is present with the inn's warm and gracious atmosphere. Part of the Best Western King Charles Inn's illustrious past was originally as the Pavilion Hotel (circa 1830). The Best Western King Charles Inn was the gathering spot of area artisans and artists, including Edgar Allan Poe, then a soldier for the Fort Moultrie. Hotel amenities include 24-hour complimentary coffee, high speed wireless Internet access in public areas, a seasonal outdoor pool, and free parking.
