Unlike my fellow Yelper's reviews, I found this Econo Lodge to be a pretty good value. You DO have to take is as an "it is what it is" hotel. You simply...

What a dump. I was unaware before booking that this is the dumpy side of SLC. Unfortunately, Econo Lodge fits its surroundings. My "Non-Smoking" room did...

Dingy and ""dirty"" don't begin to describe it. The beds are beyond horrible. Avoid it at all costs--for the price, you can do much, MUCH better."

If you can't sleep with trains going by, then don't stay here. The room was clean and ready for us. We could hear people out talking at night through the wall (the windows were closed), when we tried to fall asleep.

This hotel was ok except for it is right near the train which went by like every hour and blew its horn 3 times each time. Continental breakfast was nice and leatherbys and red iguana restaurant were right next door. But train keeping us up all night was a real drawback. We only stayed one night fortunately.
