Intro

The Principality of Monaco is located in Western Europe on the northern coast of the Mediterranean Sea. Some of country’s popular districts include Monte Carlo, which hosts the annual Formula One Monaco Grand Prix.

Locals and visitors alike enjoy Monaco’s natural surroundings and lush gardens like the Le Jardin Exotique de Monaco, which is nestled on the cliffs of Monte Carlo and grows various cacti from different parts of the world, including Mexico and Central America. From the garden you can descend into the Grottes de l’Observatoire, a cave that is over 200 feet deep and features rock formations such as stalagmites. From beyond the cave, you can see a panoramic view of the French Riviera from atop the Rock of Monaco on which the Prince’s Palace rests, and is located in the country’s capital, Monaco-Ville. To get a close-up view of the Monaco waterfront, stroll along one of harbors, including the Monaco Port. From some of the harbors, visitors can try all types of water sports including waterskiing, parasailing and windsurfing or take sailing lessons at the Yacht Club de Monaco
