[Full Description]
Aspen is a ski resort in the state of Colorado in the Rocky Mountains region of the United States. Its little sister is the family-friendly Snowmass Village, which is about 10 miles from downtown Aspen.
In the winter, visitors can ski at the four city’s ski areas: Aspen Mountain, Snowmass, Highlands and Buttermilk. You can also hobnob with celebrities and jetsetters as Aspen also is known for its ability to attract both. Other family-friendly winter activities include sleigh rides, sledding, snowshoeing and snowmobiling.
There’s plenty to do in summer as well: mountain bike, hike, golf, take the chair lifts for scenic views, whitewater rafting, fly fishing or hot air ballooning. Visitors can also take in a rodeo, or one of the area’s many outdoor concerts and festivals.

- B Red Onion, Aspen
-
-
This Aspen landmark has the lofty distinction of being the town's oldest bar and restaurant dating back to the 1890s. The long wooden bar, its most prominent feature, retains the look and feel of an old mining saloon. Locals are always hunkered along it, especially during the day, reading newspapers and watching TV. Chimichangas, fajitas and combo plates, all of which come with chips and salsa, dominate the menu. There are also a host of salads, soups, burgers and sandwiches including grilled cheese.[Full Description]

The Ute Condominiums offers accommodations in downtown Aspen, about two blocks from Lift 1A and four blocks from the nearest Gondola. This is a small complex located in a relatively quiet area, but still within walking distance of Aspen's many shops and restaurants. The free skier shuttle stops just across the street from the complex. All units have private parking. The decor of each condo, while not high-end, is definitely modern and attractive. Each condo includes a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, wood burning fireplace, washer/dryer, cable television, VCR, and stereo.[Full Description]

- F Su Casa, Aspen
-
-
Trying to distinguish one Mexican restaurant from another is difficult. Most, if not all, serve big plates with six digit calorie counts. Su Casa, however, is refreshingly different for it emphasizes low calorie fare that does not sacrifice on taste. Despite the downstairs location, which, from the upstairs, looks like a fancy tornado shelter, this restaurant has a lively atmosphere which at times feels like permanent Cinco de Mayo Day. The menu serves the usual array of tacos, burritos and enchiladas. It also cooks specialty dishes like Carnitas, Camorones, and Chillies Rellenos. Salads such as the Yucatan, Avocado and Tostada are all generous in size.[Full Description]
