Just west of the Hotel Cabo San Lucas, this beach offers protected swimming, snorkeling and diving areas. Clear water and a natural coral reef make this a great place to enjoy underwater views. The beach is typically not too crowded, and it has an onsite rental shop in case you decide to snorkel at the last minute. Owned by Cabo Acuadeportes, it has a small shack here with rental equipment, umbrellas, beach blankets and a few other essential beach items. To get there, turn right just before the hotel.

If the idea of sand in your toes while you eat bothers you, don't come here. The picnic-style tables and chairs are all set out on Medano Beach. A favorite of tourists, the rowdy partying atmosphere slackens for only a brief moment in the evening when the sun kisses the water and ripples gold across the water to Land's End. Throughout the day, this restaurant can handle your hunger pains with lunchtime burgers, fries and tacos, Mexican-style breakfasts, and shrimp, lobster and less formal options for dinner.

Seafood is the house specialty here, with fresh lobster, huge shrimp, a variety of sea bass, and other fish available. The menu does not neglect red meat, however, and includes filet mignon, T-bone and other succulent, well-prepared cuts. Mexican entrees, such as fajitas (MXN120-400), are also offered. The environment is upscale without being uptight, and features romantic candlelight and soft jazz or salsa music in the background. A bottle of the house wine costs MXN180 or higher; the staff will prepare any mixed drink you may describe.
